Statement

これまで一貫して自然の中にある風景を主題として抽象作品を制作してきたが、近年は平行して風景そのものを捉えた作品も制作している。抽象表現作品と同じくこの世に存在するものは永遠であるという主題が作品の根底に流れている。双方の作品の違いとして一つ挙げるならば、抽象作品はミクロの視点であり、風景作品はマクロの視点から見た自身の解釈である。

制作の際は実際の風景を写生で留めた後、その時の記憶や得た感覚を心象風景として作品へ落とし込んでいる。

 While I have consistently created abstract works centered on landscapes found in nature, in recent years I have also been creating works that capture the landscapes themselves. Just as in my abstract works, the underlying theme that everything in this world is eternal runs through these pieces. If I were to point out one difference between the two types of work, it would be that my abstract works represent a microscopic perspective, whereas my landscape works are my own interpretations viewed from a macroscopic perspective.

When creating these works, I first sketch the actual landscape, then incorporate the memories and sensations I experienced at that moment into the artwork as a inner landscape.
